The Circularis BioCluster continues to expand with the addition of FOODIMAR project, funded under the 1st Call of the Sustainable Blue Economy Partnership 2023 – The way forward: a thriving sustainable blue economy for a brighter future.
The vision of the FOODIMAR project is to revolutionise the fisheries and aquaculture industries by transforming side-stream biomass into high-value, sustainable products. By leveraging innovative technologies and sustainable practices, FOODIMAR aims to reduce waste, enhance resource efficiency, and contribute to a resilient and environmentally friendly food system. The project envisions a future where aquatic resources are utilised to their fullest potential, creating economic opportunities while addressing environmental challenges.
As a member of the Circularis BioCluster, FOODIMAR will collaborate with fellow Horizon Europe projects to share expertise, identify common challenges, and maximise the uptake of innovative bio-based technologies. The cluster brings together projects with complementary objectives, creating a collaborative platform to accelerate the deployment of circular solutions and strengthen Europe's bioeconomy.
We are delighted to welcome FOODIMAR to the Circularis BioCluster and look forward to working together to advance sustainable innovation across the bio-based sector.
