VALORISH will be present at the EUBCE 2026. Learn more about our contribution and where and when to find us!
For more than four decades, the European Biomass Conference and Exhibition (EUBCE) has been a key platform for reflecting on the biomass sector’s evolution and exploring future trends in bioenergy across research, industry, and policy. This year, VALORISH will be part of that conversation.
Where to find VALORISH at EUBCE 2026
Two VALORISH partners — IDENER and BLUE SYNERGY — will present key project results showing how fish by-products can move from “waste problem” to “high-value solution”.
Oral presentations
Wednesday 20 May – 11:30 to 12:45
Valorisation of fish waste from industry: a circular economy strategy supported by LCA
Our partners from Blue Synergy will present a data-driven demonstration of how life-cycle assessment (LCA) supports smarter circular economy strategies for fish-waste valorisation.
Thursday 21st May – 9:00 to 10:00
Modelling waste biorefineries to valorise fish industry by-products: the VALORISH project case
Here, IDENER will present an integrated modelling framework for an innovative fish-waste biorefinery targeting high-value food applications. Mathematical models of bioreactors and downstream processes are combined into a single platform, enabling full techno-economic, environmental and scalability assessments.
Thursday 21st May – 15:00 to 16:00
Computational approaches to support protein fish by-products valorisation to produce bioactive peptides
Our partners from IDENER will show how computational tools can squeeze maximum value out of fish by-products while minimising resource use and waste. By combining enzymatic and metabolic simulations, VALORISH demonstrates how underexploited fish biomass can be transformed into functional bio-based products. Translation: smarter processes, leaner value chains, better sustainability.
If you are attending EUBCE 2026, make sure to stop by the VALORISH presentations and discuss with us!
But that’s not all: Circularis BioCluster takes the stage
Beyond conference sessions, VALORISH will also co-host a dedicated workshop titled “Blue biomass to high-value products” at EUBCE 2026 together with PROMISEANG, representing the Circularis BioCluster.
The workshop will bring together sister projects working on circular bio-based solutions to explore shared challenges, cross-sector synergies and practical pathways to scale-up.
